The positive geometry of the insert reduces tool pressure which helps to eliminate chatter and give a better surface finish 

We have been trialing different grades of carbide and we believe we have found the perfect compromise between toughness and hardness in the carbide we are using ,  this gives a good balance between surface finish, tool wear and longevity.

 this insert can handle  intermittent cutting and cutting of weld build up and still leave a great finish.
